FINANCIAL ADVISORY SERVICES
The firm renders financial Adisory services to high net worth individuals and numerous corporate bodies. It has been engaged in the establishment, management and operation of several stock brokerage companies, insurance companies, Bureax De Change, and financial institutions. The firm acts as company secretaries to several corporate bodies while its Principal partner is a Director in a number of such bodies.
OIL AND GAS LAW AND PRACTICE
The firm has indept and considerable experience in Oil and Gas Law and practice. It has incorporated several Oil and Gas companies operating in the downstream, marginal field and Upstream Sectors. It structured and cordinated the establishment of a consortium that successfully participated in the privatisation of the Independent Power Plants by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The firm has worked as legal advisers to corportae bodies that sucessfully secured Oil blocks at bid rounds, marginal field rounds and by private treaties. It has seen to the acquisition and development of oil acreages in the upstream sector. It's services has been utilised in the successful acquisition of onshore, shallow water and Deep water Blocks and has seen to the develpoment of the same. P.C.Obi and Co. succssfully challenged the unlawful revocation of OPLs 249 and 452 at the Federal High Court, and the Court of Appeal in Nigeria and midwifed the eventual return of the blocks to their owners. Its services in the oil and gas sector is all encompassing. It brokers the sell, and purchase of Oil Prospecting Licenses, Oil Mining Leases and Downstream Oil projects. It also acts as company secretaries to a successful Oil and Gas group that hold onshore and Deepwater acreages and has represented several such companies at the Senate, House of Representatives and other Government Agencies.
COMPANY SECRETARIAL SERVICES
The firm acts as legal consultants and Company Secretaries to numerous corporate bodies. Our clients in this regards are quite extensive and cover companies in the manufacturing sector, Real Estate sector, food and beverage sector, Oil and Gas sector, Transportation sector and fiancial advisory services sector. We arrange and cordinate Board meetings, Annual General Meetings, Extra Ordinary General Meetings and other statutory meetings prescribed by the Companies and Allied Matters Act and file returns associated with them. We conduct searches and legal investigations and oversee acquisition of properties and management of the same for clients. We maintain various company books, attend to registration of Title documents, trade marks, designs and Patents. We also attend meetings, discussions, and negotiations on behalf of clients, represent and interface for them before Government agencies, parastatals, and external bodies.
AVIATION LAW
The firm acts as legal consultants to Airlines and has handled aviation matters at the Federal High Court and Appeal Courts in the Federation.
MARITIME LAW
The firm acts for shipping companies and Shipping agencies and is retained by quite a number of such companies. It also renders legal advisory services in such areas as marine insurance claims, bailment, Caveats against arrest of vessels, admiralty jurisdiction matters and claims at the Federal High court and the Appellate courts in Nigeria.
EMPLOYMENT
We render legal advise on employment and labour related issues and attend to litigations arising from them. The firm has good experience in negotiation and drafting of various collective Agreements, employment and sevice contracts, restraint of trade Agreements etc for corporate bodies in various sectors of the economy.
INSURANCE
We act for several insurance companies in advisory capacities and also represent them in courts.
LITIGATION
We represent government agencies, banks, insurance companies and High Networth individuals in various criminal and Commercial litigation. This cover myriad of issues ranging from real estate, employment, debt recovery, marine and other financial related issues. It also cover breaches of contract, insurance claims, Arbitrations, Land matters etc. We also explore Alternative dispute Resolution mechanisms when expedient.
